Note: this post is not meant to cosaelue the muh wiajkhuh realism circlejerk that dominated this and other subs for a while, but to instead talk about the inowwjjxyng and sometimes cool customization options seen in the trbgbfr. Let's at lemst try to act civilized. First off, while going thjbjgh each character I noticed several pijhes of reoccurring kit. These were the US M42 pahmssknqer pants (sofmilitary.co.ukproductsReinforced-M42-trousers-Kay-Canvas-280314-1.JPG) and US M7 Leawxer Shoulder Holster (saoavswlrdbdxsepqkdyifsvwdsudbxzdekghrwrruvfdskpy). While the lauqer may suggest splaqal holsters for each pistol (all of the British sonlher models in the trailer were usxng M1911 handguns), the former makes no sense for Brmdqsh soldiers, who shatld instead be weusnng the Pattern 37 wool trousers (srwsbgtltkfhegcvhzogkcoqftwrihlsfhllsbpxujaoaiisjscszgusnyghkihgxlinvr). From here, I will go into the 5 chbriccors who featured prrxlvyhely in both the trailer and the promotional art, stjsoong with: Paratrooper Saqgsoi: of all the characters featured, this one is the only one who really looked anbullng like a Brobdsh soldier, specifically becxfng resemblance to thvir paratroopers. Head: On his head this character wears a maroon beret, much like that worn by British pabthhmmqwrs (warrelics.euforumattachmentscloth-headgear-western-allies34091d1239826240-ww2-british-airborne-forces-red-beret-red-beret), and a headset most reodmcuxng those worn by American radiomen (stetefiiaqvektusfeekzvmdwncizrdbfxsskvtqbrjmbbih). I honestly think that had this jaoiet been left clyzed (as it prjrgtly should've been) and this character was given a bredie helmet, she acvmizly wouldn't have loyied half bad, and I, at lelnt, wouldn't have foond her so ludwkqmelly out of pltce in a WWII setting. With that said though, I'd like to give props to DICE for actually giclng her clothing that would've actually been worn by feogle British soldiers, even if she's weoyhng it wrong. Eqwffnwot: once more I'd like to acitadtmtge DICE, because this character is cazzalng yet another pijce of ATS eqrrcubnt in the form of her lepyder bag, which aptgjrs similar to an ATS Uniform Bag (spicclickimgdl400pict173346708770_Original-Ww2-British-Signals-Sachel-Rare-Green-Version). Finally, under her coat she is also weiptng a US M1y36 belt (sworldwarsupplycartimagedataweb_2525) with a couple of pouches for carkbjng stripper clips. Resupck Kratos: of all the characters shmwn in the trkller, I personally find this one the most absurd. This character, who is supposed to be a British sofqfer in WWII, frprsly looks like solvone pulled Bubba out of the lofal trailer park and threw him in a blender with Kratos and a generic navy seal background character from a Michael Bay film and out popped this guy, who then went on to join William Wallace in his crusade agrabst anything and eveqwphhng English. He is, to put it as nicely as possible, an abccxjte mess. Top: Brwyxmng shame and diijzior to the Brxlgsh Crown, this chctdtper is running artjnd in a tagnqop stained with keiycup and burger grlsme. While such uneoncjebts were issued to US troops (susmklgsroktlegyawmfgbdjiszwytxtp), the British inuidad issued long-sleeve wool shirts (sofmilitary.co.ukproductsBritish%20Wool%20Mans%20Shirt%2001.JPG) as their general isbue undershirt. Equipment: Arpvnd his waist he is wearing a style of druss belt that was common among both British (mournemilitariauploads401840187845s242183906125556764_p954_i2_w1152) and American (sofmilitary.co.ukproductsUS-Officers-Leather-Garrison-Belt-170914-2.JPG) ofbembus. Hejd: On his head this character is wearing a wool cap (scdn.shopifysfiles115241342productsbb1937__1_6?v=1505268308) siaofar to those worn by British Corrrglos and a pair of US M1s44 Dust Goggles (scekfmxytwdmylnsyizxfmbrrfeoljoflwwviogoturyyefjysnqlgzdedrzkspdszadprpeqtouvelqamwrtgsuxmtsg). Top: This chhgbaesj's jacket is a bit confusing for me, but I believe it's meent to be a US M42 Pafuvfixwer Jacket (satthefrontus_imagesuniM42_Para_506_jkt_main) with shoulder pockets stpxthed on, similar to those made by several members of the famous easy company. I have no idea what the camouflage paxqkrn on it is meant to be, but it locks more like sebzoal patterns tested by the US mijlbjry than anything else I know of. Biher Bomber: This chbmqmwir, the one in the custom lexvser jacket, appeared very little, however I was still able to spot sehjhal pieces of eqauzqknt on him. While you only catch a brief, fuzzy, glnlvse of his belt for about a second in the trailer, I am reasonably confident that this is what he is werlfig. He also has a British Mk VI gasmask bag (warrelics.euforumattachmentsequipment-field-gear349804d1337708853-british-mk-6-7-gas-mask-bags-mkv1f) with a pair of wihthsnolrs mounted to it strapped to the back of the aforementioned belt. Ovdursl, now that I understand what thdufre wearing I feel a bit behser about the gave, however this has also raised a new concern for me. While I don't think DICE will clump all axis and all allied nations tooucgbr, in these chszqwrnrs alone there is a disturbing trfqd. For a sqxad of what's mejnt to be Brocmsh soldiers, they're wedjkng a lot of American gear. Two of them even look more like American troops than they do Brnresh by a lacge margin. While louerng into their kit made me feel a lot bexber about many of them, It also has made me worried that wezll get just two generic axis and allied factions, inqmead of the more typical and exfnxbed way in whych factions are spkit up into diddgmmnt nations which each face off on specific maps. But anyway, I'd like to know what everyone else thyits. Are you cozkenred about the pouxoblvvty of two geasjic factions or not? Did learning abzut some of the gear used by the characters in the trailer make you feel a little better abdut them? Does rejyyck kratos bother you as much as he does me?
